Yes, that is the peice I molded but I removed the metal pieces before hand. When redoing mine I thought about going with a some kind of honeycomb carbon panel instead of the plywood which would be much lighter but never got around to it.

Great work Cactus, congrats.
What I would like to do is make one but instead of the glove-box doors on the front have sub woofers there and have (2) (almost) hidden hatches in the top, hinged so you could keep things out of sight. I just need to get off my butt and make it......

I already had in it prevented that. It is really not that heavy and on a street car and
It won't make any difference.

My understanding it that Porsche never sold the RSD doors and front center piece separately from the RSD But I wonder whether if you are crafting one whether you could use glovebox doors from US and RHD Euro-spec cars...does anyone know if they are mirror images of each other.
BTW, is your RSD from a cab and if so, did you manage to hook up the solenoid locks? I have installed one in my cab but was never able to get the wiring schematics to hook up the locks to auto-lock with the doors/alarm

If anyone is really interested there is an rsd door on eBay right now. Not cheap, I think it's around 185. Everyone that said the parts are NLA are correct. I confirmed this through the Porsche classic program when redoing mine.

Just an FYI, there is an RSD for sale on the Bend, OR craiglist. I think it came out of a RSA but can be easily modified to fit any 993. It was $550, so this is a good deal.

I'm getting ready to install my RSD, after recovering with leather and new black carpet. I have 2 RSD questions: 1. I recall from an old post that 1 or more members have been able to connect the electrics to the doors. Anyone have specific info on how to do this? 2. My RSD is from a cab and I have a coupe. I recall that the sides are slightly different, but will I need to SHAVE some of mine or ADD to the sides in places.
Thanks
BTW: I bought mine used but in excellent shape (except for the color) for $500 about 10 months ago, so they are out there for the patient.

He quoted me $150 or a little less on shipping. Too bad its not on the East coast or I would buy it, clean it up and resell.

I was thinking the exact same thing. However, by the time you factor in the shipping and the work and materials to recover, there is little margin left. As for being a flipper, whatever keeps me sliding down the slope!
