Yes, I really wish someone here would make some transmission parts that weren't over the top expensive!
I am going to talk to a machine shop I work with and see what it would take to get some G50 gears made. The parts available all seem top notch but sheesh, I could buy a brand new T-56 (which is in my opinion a superior transmission to a G50, but obviosuly different) for less than a few gears and a set of steel synchros for our P-cars!

I have enough aluminum sitting under my workbench to make 1 more steering rack brace without having to go the store.
If anyone wants one I can have it done in a day or two (depending on how much "garage time" my wife gives me ).

Prototype is done. It turned out pretty nice.
I remember from making my first one that I had to "wittle" a bit of material away to clear the power booster. I think my booster bracket got bent somehow because the part I just made is dimensionally identical to the factory one and it still hit.
Either way I added a small relief to the brace where the booster hit (I marked it with black pen on the installed picture) in case someone else has the same issue. Hardware is not included for the $50 unless I can find the M8 bolts at Home Depot... which I kind of doubt...
So,
There it is!
If you want bigger better pics please e-mail me at chaoscreature@hotmail.com.
I swung by the metal shop and picked up some more aluminum so I can make at least 6 more if anyone is interested. The booster relief is optional
