I've been very fortunate over the years. I started out on my own very young and built a life and business that I'm fairly proud of. I try to make the correct financial decisions but that hasn't always been the case. I must say that I appreciated my cars more when I had to scrape to make ends meet then I do now. I remember the days of daydreaming about saving to buy this or that, it was a goal that I strived to attain. I'll be honest with you guys in saying that I've lost that drive. It's upsetting to me what it's become but I suppose it is what it is. I think I'm going to buy something crazy that I really shouldn't buy to put myself into unnecessary debt. It'll be an exercise in stupidity but I'd like everyone's backing. I'll post my results here over the next few weeks!

While I found this thread to very interesting, I have to admit that the only I am able to afford my car habit is by selling myself to rich Hollywood widows. I think that counts as earning the money, but it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Well, maybe not bitter, more like -- well never mind, I've said too much already.

Congrats! Now two more to cross off the list and you're golden.

Side note: I think Quad deserves an apology on this thread. Just saying...

Amazing. I have juist joined Rennlist and also PCS after the purchase of my 993. Instead of congratulating the OP for paying off his toy responsibly, the thread turns into a pecker contest. I sincerely hope that this not standard operating procedure for the PCA. I intend to take my car to Sebring for the 12 hour and have to option of parking in the Porsche Corral or on site at the Chateau Elan. Anyone else want to chime in here- This thread is about the OP and the achievement he made after signing that final check. My question is where should I park where I won't be judged if I owe money on my 993? I may , or may not, but would prefer to go to a parking lot where that is of inconsiquence. Any advice? Sebring turn 9 for me- usually with BMW CCA and I want to experience something different with PCA after purchasing a 993. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks,
Aly

Me too because you're on Rennlist buddy (and "just" was ocho years ago). Some of this thread is real, some imagined. Read between the lines on most of it. Many characters here... (I'm not really buying a McLaren BTW, full disclosure).

Congrats to Sicko! And thanks for starting (somewhat inadvertently) an entertaining thread!

Aly,
Despite the appearance of a "pecker contest" these guys here in RL993 are good folks (even Quad and Goof ). The anonymous aspect of the Internet lets us run a bit far with the harassment sometime, but without a doubt both of them are contributing members here. OK, sometimes technical contributors, sometimes comedic contributors with the hilarious BS that flows forth...

Cheers to all!

(just realized I may have misinterpreted the Quad/Chsu74 interchange, but what my brain deciphered as was much funnier than the most likely reality, so I'm sticking with my version!)

Yes, I learned about Pen Fed through some people here a couple of years ago. I got the 1.99 rate on both my cars. And, they will finance pretty much any old car at that rate. Incrediible.
