1996 C4S TIP DILEMMA !!!!

I took off the B&B mufflers+TIPS and sold them and now have stock factory mufflers and TIPS. However, I cannot install the driver side TIP. From the pics note that the left side pipe favors the inside of the body and thus fouls correct install of the factory C4S TIP. Any ideas ? I was thinking having the welder rotate that left muffler pipe so the oval sticks straight toward the bumper hole rather than at an angle.

If everything is stock, then there must be misalignment in the way you fitted the muffler. Is the strap pulling it inwards like that? Have you had it off again and tried from the start to refit it?

I have the muffler attached to that 'lip" that catches the strap-holder and no matter what I do that exit pipe favors the inward side and thus fails to exit the bumper hole in such a way to install the TIP. I also have the factory CAT pipe coupler attached right. It looks like the factory exit pipe is welded with an incorrect angle, unlike the right side which is straight.

Mark, if you can use it nonchalantly and authentically in a daily conversation or casual email to friends and acquaintances I'll personally find and send you a large polished NB tip.

That looks like the problem. Hard to tell from the pic of the tip, but it looks like it has a straight inlet. The WB tips have a slight offset in them. I just looked thru my files and I don't have a pic to show you. My guess is you have narrow body tips. Check the part # on the bottom, and do a search on here-lots of discussions about NB vs WB big ovals.
Darren at FD Motorsports added the offset into my NB ovals, he constructed a jig to fab them up. Maybe he is still doing that, give nim a jingle.
Hope that this advice is nonchalanty addressing the non authentically of the tips.

Judging by the last picture, it looks like the muffler just needs to be moved slightly. Loosen the straps and clamp that hold the muffler. Then maneuver (twist) the muffler so that it aligns correctly with the rear arch. Be sure to attach the Tip to the muffler first. Make certain everything is where you want it and tighten everything down. Also, be aware that if you jack up the rear end of the car via the engine, the mufflers will rise with the engine right up to the upper ridge of the arch.

All NA cars use the same mufflers, so dimension between the exit tips of the mufflers remains a constant distance .... the WB (C2S/C4S) require 35mm offset from center line of the tips to correctly fit the rear valence .... ergo: NB tip entry/exit center line is 0 offset, WB is 35mm.
Here's perhaps more than you may need to know should one point be out of tolerance ..... but I had done a muffler tip cut and paste (weld) to fit NB tips to a WB.
Regardless, the CAT and muffler tips should show symmetry side to side ..

I asked GAUDIN for Non-TT 993 C4S TIPS and part numbers were for L+R:
993-111-251-12
993-111-252-12
The supplied left side TIP shows no offset.
Thanks for your help.

Just called GAUDIN and correct C4S numbers are $$$$ more expensive than NB Tips; $800 ea versus $200 ea. They suggest returning the supplied NB TIPS for the correct C4S TIPs.
Correct C4S 993 TIP#s:
993-111-251-52
993-111-252-52
Of course I am keeping these NB TIPS as the right side fits fine and I will have a welder modify the left side muffler pipe to mate the NB TIP.
Thanks for your help !!!!!
