Default Color choices (Brake caliper refurbish)

Car color: Arctic Silver over Boxster Red interior

Rim colors: 993 twists in Silver, Innsbruck Silver w/polished & Kinesis K28 gunmetal with polished

95% leaning towards gold calipers with black script only because it is uncommon and am afraid silver calipers would blend in. I am looking for some color but will not go too crazy and typical red calipers seems nearly too common.

So I need confirmation:

Gold with black script

-or-
Gold with Red script
Silver with Black script (C4S)
Silver with Red script

Opinions?

I did yellow, but that's with Rivi Blue. Red would look good and I think Darin did Mexico Blue.

with such a beautiful and classic color combo that the car is, I'd go for the big RED look.

The Red really pops on an Arctic Silver car, though I am farily biased.

We've got almost the same car. I have some yellow repaints on my 4S now, as they were an experiment my cousin did for his Turbo (Red/Black/Black 996 Turbo wheels). (He installed real yellows that came via Seinfeld, who spec'd blue body color ones on whatever blue car he has/had, thought he'd go to yellow then never did.) So while I refinish my reds, I put the yellows one. Yeah, it's been a year now, and it's not grown on me..........

Sooo Cleeaan! I love the color matched jack stand too...nice touch.
I like to be "uncommon" as well. If you try the gold and don't like it, you can always redo them another color.

I'd vote Gold with no Script, keep it clean.

I just did silver on a blue car.

I agree red looks best, but with all the "non-porsches" rocking the reds, I wanted something different and yellow is just out of the question on this one.

In the spirit of Darin, it looks like gold will be chosen. Ordered VHT just now and have a set of red and black script on the way. Will post pics once I get the calipers off.

For the time being, I have having a hell of a time disconnecting the calipers from the brake lines. Are these "one time use only"? What about caliper mounting bolts? Such a superior design in Porsche brakes leaves me questioning all my previous knowledge.

My 1st choice would be like somebody stated above, the factory big reds.

However since your looking for something different, my vote is gold w/red script.

Similar to this color combo.

My monitor may be off, but that car looks more like Polar silver in that light. May just be the sky.

Another vote for red.

Arctic Silver looks like that in the shade. Darin's blue is cool, I may do mine in silver when it comes time that they need redoing. Silver was an option from the factory stock black calipers on the C2S. Stick to Red!

I think that's the color on Subaru WRX STIs from a couple of years ago, if you want to find one to look at. I don't think they are a pure "gold" color, but look a bit more coppery.

The Audi R8 GT has awesome matte red calipers and that color I think will work well with the Boxster red interior you have...
