Yes, they are the same. But the spring rates, & sport vs normal shocks.

But why?

I just purchased a '98 C2S with stock suspension and upgraded my Targa with Bilstein HDs and H&R sport springs...the new Targa suspension is great but the car is sitting way too low...so I will swap suspensions with the C2S and use the Bilstein's with M030 springs instead

Are you talking about ROW M030 or US M030? The later is SUV height. If you can't go any higher with the H&R set up, I would opt for ROW M030.

There are bigger spring pads that will raise the car up a bit, & you can also buy aftermarket spring pads to give an extra 1/2in or so.

Yea, when you showed off your Targa, I thought it was super low. The best bet might to get just some ROW M030 springs.

If that is your car at the current ride height in your avatar, it looks like it could be adjusted a bit higher. I have the HR/HD combo, too, and was able to get it to the bottom of the ROW Sport range (ROW -10mm). For your reference (as well as gratuitous pictureposting) the pictures below are show ROW Sport ~-12mm, which appears significantly higher than yours.

I have HDs and H&Rs as well, and the rear is not nearly as low as yours. I can go lower if I wanted, but yours seems like it's at the lowest setting.

I'm curious how many threads you have showing beneath the lower perch on the rear? I'm guessing you can raise it up a bit.

If you raise and lower your settings on the fly, do you have to re-align and the whole nine yards?

I think what you want to know is on the attached comprehensive 993 spring chart. The chart may have some errors as I developed it from official and unofficial sources and I have not proofed it for other errors. Use at your own risk,

Andy

thanks very much for this....based on the chart, the H&R Sport Springs on front (row 3) vs the ROW M030 on front (row 16) have a small diff of only 5.6mm?...am I reading this correctly?
