We do an intake system using ITB's under the 993 resonate-plenum, plastic intake manifold without the MAFS, together with Engine Management of choice.

This makes excellent power with very crisp throttle response and a wide spread of torque. Plus, it permits a wide range of cam profiles.

Is the intake manifold from a GT3 RS?

Could you describe the parts used in this engine please?

3.8 conversions have been made more than 20 years, and this is something not new.
My specialist recommends several brands and parts, but I cannot identify them in a single picture
Besides, Singer Vehicle Design used to give the whole info when their engines were built by Colin Belton (9M), but we don't have the Cosworth engine's specs

Do you know it?
yes, GT3 plenum
GT3 crank, oil pump, rods, custom p/c, propitiatory sportcams and valvetrain, coil on spark ignition , Pectel enginemangement

Gents your all legends! Thankyou for the replies!...

Perv, your forgetting, it's fun doing this to cars-especially ones like the 993. Are you a technician/engineer/in the motorsport or car industry? Or a forum hero? It seems as if the things you wrote on your last post were fact-not just your opinion. Are you qualified to make such claims??? I'm guessing not.

The Rothsport EFI setup is really trick. Does anyone know if that provides any serious gains for a street car and if so, at what price?

Gamroth has this figured out. Yes, the ITBs allow virtually any choice of cam and virtually any choice of tune.

To do it properly, and take advantage of the intake changes, you'll want different engine management (DTA or Motec), cams designed to to the job at hand, plenum work and an exhaust capable of allowing it all to happen.

It's a system and must be designed and built as such. Contact Steve Weiner for advice. Edit to add: Not inexpensive.

Steve, i thought about going to coil on plug and ditching the distributors. I am supercharging the 993 and running Motec M600 + my distributors need a refresh so it would be a good time to do it.
What kind of setup would you recommend?

Juha,

I think a short stack ITB system would work best, however I'm guessing that some custom fabrication is needed to make that work with a supercharger,.....

COP's would be perfect with M600, too.

Fitting the big a$$ eaton blower with an ITB system would require some serious head scratching and lots of more cigarettes (even though i smoke cubans only when I'm drunk)

What is your recommendation for a COP setup? I'm seriously considering getting rid of the distributors.

I think this system sounds really good. I read somewhere in Excellence where a guy put a similar system and the torque curve was nice and flat. But he used a GT3 intake plenum.
