My wife Suzi rocks, she called my favorite shop, FD Motorsports, and ordered a goldenrod and short shift kit for my 993 C4s as a surprise for my birthday!
A big thanks to Darin for helping her out and the Tshirt is da-bestest

I see this conversation:

"I'd like to order a bigger rod for my husband".
"Yes, sure, what does he have?"
"Well, you know, he has what most of your customers have".
"Is it 911?"
"Oh, I wish, it was 9 or 11. If it was I wouldn't be ordering a larger rod, would I?"....

You can continue with that dialogue as long as you'd like.

I have to say Suzanne was great to talk to. She is a true car gal.
She asked me to explain the FDM Short Shift kit and Golden Rod upgrades, and when I finished she replied "Oh yes, he definitely needs that!"
She also went on to tell me how much she loves the Stage II exhaust on your 993.
She totally gets it! You are a lucky man

She asked my to camoflage the box so you wouldn't see it came from FDM, so I made a special label addressed to Suzanne from:

That's customer service.

Keep it up, guys. This level of service is so rare these days and, honestly, great to see!

I was hesitant to do the short-shift kit on Rufus because the shifting with the stock shifter was sooo smooth. And I didn't want that huge dimple on the tunnel cover... bang that on a speed bump, and you might not be able to shift at all.

But I had FDM install their SSK with golden rod on Rufus, and I am delighted I did. The "dimple" is so small, its hard to see it. The shifting is still smooth, just snappier and shorter. When they took off the tunnel cover to start the installation, they reported that the old plastic ball and cup just fell apart in their hands. A couple of more shifts, and I could have been stranded.

Another thumbs up for the guys at FDM.
