As the story goes I'm in need to borrow a SAI removal wrench. If anyone has the bent up, ground down,,, 15/16" open end wrench needed to remove the SAI valve I'd like to borrow this if I may. I could email a UPS label for shipping at my expense and would pledge to return the wrench in short order.
The Check Engine shines bright on the 993 and sure enough the SAI valve is broken in half, so much for any air pumping through the heads... Its time for a new 993.113.250.02 SAI valve install. Superceeded part number -993.113.250.03 ....

Bueller, anyone, anyone...

Jumping in a little late, but I see you're in Forsyth Co. I'm in Roswell so not too much of a pickup drive. I've got a ground down 3/8" drive crowsfoot which worked fine for me.

Let me know if you're not already set up.

I haven't taken the pkg to the post office yet so if Mike wants to pick up JC's that's ok by me.

Not that it matters but I lived in Roswell for a little over 3 yrs., just off Shackleford Rd. IIRC.

I have a PCA gathering tonight and was planning to drop it at the PO just before they close at 5. I'll check back before then to see if it's still needed. If not, I'll put it back in my toolbox for next time.

All you need is a grinder and access to a cheap tool store - pickup a the close to right-sized crowsfoot, and with a bit of grinding, viola! New tool! It can be cheaper than shipping.

If you have the replacement valve in your hand, you can use that as a template.

Mine started as a 1" Sears Craftsman Crows Foot wrench, took about 5 min on my bench grinder to widen the opening and grind down the top over the "jaws" and viola, an SAI wrench is born.

I'd take a photo of it but USPS has it right now.....

That's what I used. Unfortunately I had to buy the whole 9 pc set to get the 1" wrench. Luckily I have a large toolbox. Can't remember when I last needed a crowfoot wrench though.
