Default WTB PORSCHE 993 SEATS

I have the 12 way heated seats and they are getting really really horrible.
I had a 997 pcar for a short time and I did not like the seats at all in it, I am sticking to the 993 model seats in the 993, so no, I am not looking for 997 seats.

So I am looking for a new pair of seats, something like low miles' removed etc. has to be electric and heated...
Has anybody had any experience in dismantling leather on a 993 seat ?
I need to know if I find seats which are 4 or 6 way electric, could I convert them to 12 way with the parts from my old seats ?

I have an upholster service near, he wants $1250 for new leather, but I feel the chassis on mine are tired, although they have not witnessed any tantric activity, so never beyond 155 lbs.

willing to pay around $1750 for an immaculate example.....any color no supple

George, there are several being sold now, one good example is from Dan (Nollie) on the Member-to-Member classifieds. You'll have to find out if they are heated. Also shipping will nto be cheap from here as they are about 70 lbs (30kg+) each.

I had a set of 997 seats and found them to be much more comfortable than 993 seats (and I'm 150 lbs, about the same as you). I also ended up ordering a pair of 996 hardback sport seats from England and that's what I have in my car now. Like them better than comfort 993 seats as well. Partially because teh frame seems in much better condition (less than 60K miles on them and I'm sitting in English "passenger' seat which probably was not used at all). If you decide to go that way, look for Sommerset dismantlers in UK. They sell a lot on eBay and seem pretty good to work with. Guy's name there is Shaun.

I have a pair of black leather 8-way power 993 seats in beautiful condition -- came out of a 40K mile car. Asking $850. Problem is they're in Washington DC, not Paris or Beirut.

As always, thank you very much Mike

If NP's seats are heated and you guys can figure out shipping... I think this would be a really great deal. I don't see whipping costing more than $400 or so.

Just from previous experience - U-Haul's Medium Wardrobe Box is nearly perfect to pack a seat. Also, my last set of seats came from England without boxes. Seller simply wrapped cardboard around the back, cardboard around the base, taped well and then used shrinkwrap all over the resulting structure. They got here intact.

So the 993 had 4-6-8-12 way power options?

Ha ha! Guess that depends on who does the whipping.

It doesn't. It's always a demand-side pricing, not supply side in that business
