Thanks Ron! Hope you will find your 911 soon.

The remote lock almost got me. Drove it to work one day but car would not start when I was heading home. It turned out that the battery connection is just loose in the remote. Luckily I was at work so I found something to fix that. If it would have happened on our drive to MI... Has that happened to you before? Thanks for the warning though. Since the car's ECU's reflashed, there is a chance I can bypass that remote altogether. Will try that later.

I actually bought an '86 coupe to tinker with. (when I can find the time)

When the remote battery gets weak, it can be a bit finicky. I think I last replaced it about 18 months ago.

I'm not aware of a way to bypass it, but do a search on "imobilizer" and you should get lots of info.
