Default C&C in P.V., Ca

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you want to meet up before and caravan up to C&C in PV this Saturday, 1/07/12? It seems like there's a lot of 993 people around the South Bay, so I hope some of you guys show up. MikeGT suggested the Porsche dealership on PCH at 7 am. Sound good to you guys?

Now we can just keep adding to this thread whenever you guys want to meet up for this. I believe the PV C&C is every first Saturday of the month. Hope to see some people respond.....

Jason

I think it's on Hawthorne and Silver Spur. This will be my first time attending the PV one myself. I'm guessing we can just drive up there and see where all the cars are parked. My guess would be the shopping center on the south east corner.

If MikeGT shows up, I'm sure he'll lead the way! hahahhaa

I've never heard of a Palos Verdes "Coffee and Cars":

“COFFEE & CARS” EVENTS
"On the 1st Saturday of each month, members and guests are invited to bring their Hot Rods, Customs, Muscle Cars, Sports Cars, Antiques, Classics, Exotics, or other Special Interest Cars or Trucks, or just themselves to the Peninsula Shopping Center at Hawthorne and Silver Spur. Time: 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Meet us in the parking area between Starbucks and
Burger King, to socialize and enjoy the beautiful cars. Free."

Looks like this month is Corvettes and Mustangs.
February 4th is "Italian." We should definitely be on had to spoil that one! http://www.pvseniors.org/_events.cfm

This weekend is a little busy, but count me in for future dates. I'm not sure if we need a "meet before the meet." I'd just go straight there?

My mother-in-law lives a few blocks from there. I sometimes do the Saturday bike ride with the Cycle Center group when I'm visiting and have seen the C&C gathering. There are some VERY nice rods and muscle cars but have only seen a couple pcars. If I'm in town when you go maybe I'll drive the MIL's Boxster. Ha!

One of my friends calls the Porsche the PV Chevy. I disagree. I think the MB is the PV Chevy.

Yeah, we probably don't need a meet before the meet, but usually when you all roll in together, you park together......so it would be nice to get a nice line of pcars together.

Anyone going to be at the Porsche dealership at 7? I guess I'll be there regardless to see if anyone shows up.

hey gonzilla....I have an E39, also! I'm probably gonna leave C&C a little early to go try and have my Dice Mediabridge put in it.

Well, i'm taking it down to a shop and he's going to take a look at it. I've been taking my cars to this guy for about 15 years, so whenever I have something electrical that needs to be done, he does it! hahahaha. Thanks for the offer, though! Hope to see you next time......

Sounds good. I remember it being pretty easy. The hardest part was getting it to integrate with the dsp, but even that wasn't too hard. I just hope the media bridge works better than the silver line does!

He was too busy to install it.....but I'll let you know how it is once it's in.

By the way.....there's a small BMW meet every second Thursday of the month at Torrance crossroads. If you plan on going and don't know where it is, let me know.

Let's plan on the February 4th meet. I'm a little concerned about the "age 55+" focus, but maybe that a genteel PV-ism for "no ricers"?

I think all us kids will be OK in "vintage" 911s, plus I'm (barely) a local

This is coming up again next Saturday, the 4th. We definitely need to make a good showing and "spoil" their Italian Day
