Talking READ IT FOR YOURSELF!SEND YOUR EMAIL-

I sent pics of my garage to Race911.The opinions are not only mine.Do you own a copy of the three volume set(Excelence was Expected by Karl Ludvigsen)?READ IT YOURSELF!I can not believe how many of you guys are SOO ignorant! If you think I am full of **** post your email and I will send you pics.I find all of the denial about the 964 C4 to be consistent with the fact that there are so many owners that can not afford to maintain there cars the way the factory requires!I guess I need to have my secretary do all of the typing. That is what employees are for anyway.

Sorry. I only have the older 1 vol copy of Excellence Was Expected. I also own a 964, and I previously worked in my dad's Porsche shop for ten years, and have had over 35 years exposure to the cars (Porsches), and some of at a competitive level - we had sown the seeds for Kelly Moss Motorsports. I am not completely clueless.

Yes it is.

I'm curious what comparing tax returns has to do with comparing 964s to 993s.

It would be considered in poor taste to whip out pictures of their penises.

exactly what this statement has to do with it.

"I find all of the denial about the 964 C4 to be consistent with the fact that there are so many owners that can not afford to maintain there cars the way the factory requires!"

Nothing what-so-f-en-ever. The guy is an idiot. Carry on with the 964 vs 993 debate.

I'm laughing as I read this. A real classic Rennlist thread.

I think that either the 993 or 964 would be great cars to own and drive.....assuming that they are well sorted examples. It comes down to preference on driving experience and style. I prefer the old school look of the 964, and don't think that photo's typically do the 993 justice. It's a beautiful car. I don't see in this thread whether you've driven examples of each. You'll know it when you find the right one.

When I was shopping for my 964, I was fortunate enough to drive a local rennlisters 964C4. It had a dialed suspension, wheels and tires, and was the best driving, confidence inspiring 964 I've ever driven. I wasn't able to make the deal work, and ended up with a C2. This rennlister also has a stunning 993. I'd be happy with either.

Seems to me that the OP was looking for rennlister opinions, not just regurgitation of published materials. Looks like this topic has brought out the douchbag in at least one of us.

What's next? A nasty exchange on the best color for house paint? Seriously.

Talking Porsches owner segmentation research "1994 Sales Guide"

It has to do with the fact that there are to many Porsches in the hands of people that can not really afford them in the first place.Porsches were designed and built for an elite group. This site is full of Porsche owners it never intended to have or wanted to have own there cars.Porsche has five target buyer groups(demographics) as per there internal "1994 Sales Reference Guide".They are:1)Top Guns 2)Proud Patrons 3)Fantasists 4)Bon Vivants 5)Elitists.Do you belong to any of Porsches intended demographic buyers?I do not think so!

Yeah, but in the revised, and rare, "1994.5 Sales Reference Guide", they added a sixth target buyer: "assclown"

agreed, the buyer needs to go look at a drive a few cars. He will find the one that speaks to him.

A douchbag that can truly afford to buy and maintain his Porsches.

FYI, your house color sucks. If you read the 1998 Benjamin Moore internal memo, and I quote "Mitch's house color sucks." There you have it.

Happy Holidays, btw.
