JoAnne! I haven't been on the forum in forever and then I see this! I'm so glad you have had so many successes with your procedures. Very tender and gentle hugs for you, Robert, and Speedster. Keep being a good patient!

JoAnne, so glad you are doing so well! With your positive attitude and upbeat personality I think we all knew you would come through well. And like Chris said, prayers do work. Unfortunately we have another friend going through something similar so during our nightly prayers with our daughters both of you have been thought of! Hang in there and we need pics of you and the new awesome 993!

Thanks Guys and Deb! I'm having a rougher sort of morning today, but it's more meds related. I sound like a pack a day smoker thanks to the tube that they had to stick down my throat for surgery. My larynx is unusually small so I always get a sore throat after surgery. I suppose my sore throat might be a good thing. It gets my mind off of little aches and pains elsewhere. Seriously, I'm doing okay. No real pain (other than a headache from sleeping sitting up and a stupid pain pill). I've only taken two pain pills since Tuesday and that was more to sleep than for pain. The pill gave me this stupid headache so I am DONE with those.
I think by the time these two weeks are up I'll be ready to head back to work........ actually MORE than ready to get out of the house and just move on.
Chris / Carrera X Yes, prayers do work. I totally believe it!
I won't be able to ride in that new baby for at least 6 weeks..... I can't be tossed around. No lifting, pulling, stretching, bouncing.....
Oh well,
At least I can sit in 'Hurley' and take in the wonderful 993 smells once it gets here.
YOU GUYS and GALS are THE BEST!

I am feeling a LOT better this morning. I still have a sore throat from being intubated, but the pain in my new best friends is almost not there. I have shooting pains every once in a big while, especially in the right one, and some can be pretty strong, but other than that, they are doing pretty good.... hanging in there!!!!
It is so beautiful outside and I want to be doing things. It's going to be hard for me to stay put around the house doing absolutely nothing for two weeks while I heal, but I'll do it. I don't want any issues like I had with the mastectomy. I still think I pushed myself to get back to work too quickly. Yes I admit, I was wrong. When the Doctor said that it's normal for women to be off of work for 6 weeks I pushed for 4 weeks. He released me at the 4 weeks and he was right. I needed the 6 weeks and thanks to me and my big mouth, I didn't get it. This time, I am listening to his every word. He said I can't lift, pull, stretch, pick up anything over 5 pounds for the next 6 to 8 weeks.... My poor Speedster just doesn't understand. She is 15 pounds. She thinks I'm mad at her or something. If I even tried to pick her up I'd probably find my new best friends settling in somewhere around my knees!
I've said it a thousand times, and I will say it a thousand times again, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!! Thank you for letting me "talk" to you. You have no idea how much it has helped me get though this. I don't have many female friends and the ones I have aren't in Arkansas so having all of you here on the 993 forum to chat with has been such a blessing to me. Really, you have no idea.......
THANK YOU.
