I have seen so many crazy cars here, makes me wanna cry sometimes.
I remember seeing a slew of Mercedes Benz 190 SL and gullwing 300 SL on the Silvretta strasse in Austria. All of them had a CH sticker on the trunk lid and they were obviously heading back (as a club) to Switzerland.
We all know how much a gullwing 300 SL goes for. Proof there are no poor people in Switzerland.
Just got back from a visit to Ruf and a pit stop in Stuttgart to pick up an impulse buy.
I'll keep this short because I'm at a loss of words, my visit was almost surreal. Mr. Ruf is truly a great guy and arranged that I get a tour of the facilities. He even signed the Ruf door sills I purchased! The staff is also very friendly and my overall experience was fantastic.
So here are three pics.
The new 991
The Man himself with an exhausted me (had to jump between CH-FRA-ITA for work this week...)
The damage
Thanks! I'm already thinking about going back one more time before I leave here for good.

Indeed, thank you. As long as I'll be able to enjoy it in good health I'll be happy.
Here's a slightly better shot of the rear bumper. I wasn't able to find any pictures of NB sporting it, but I'm sure it will compliment the front bumper nicely. Hopefully it won't make the sideskirts look 'empty'.
The construction quality is amazing, hopefully it'll be an easy fit.
Looks like I'll have to add a bend to make the QC plate fit in that tub though
Oh, and following another thread I made concerning 3rd brake light options. The basket handle will definitely come off once the bumper goes on. I purchased a new Cayman brake light for cheap so I'll see how that fits in the rear glass... I'll keep you guys updated on that as well.
Today I got home and had some time to check things out.
I brought the Cayman 3rd brake light I purchased for <$50 and slipped it on the rear shelf.
At first glance it seems to fit well and this may be the option I use for the 3rd brake light to replace the basket handle.
I also took advantage to snap some other pics.
What do you guys think (of the light option)?
You might try sourcing one of the third brake light brackets that mounts along the upper edge of the rear windshield as standard on 1996-98. You'll need to do some repainting anyway when you lose thebasket handle. Beautiful car BTW!!

So that is a CTR-2 rear bumper but for a NB car? I didn't even know they made those....great purchase
Those look like Rennsport rubber grip pedals. I have their dead pedal but have been thinking of completing the set with the 3 pedals. Do you like them?
