I would give the inventa a shot then if no success go back to what you have now.

I really am not sure why you guys fret about putting a small number plate on the front mounting position as per vjd3 - UK has one of the ugliest number plates around and in comparison, your plates are a work of art!

And UK plates look even worse on motorcycles. They're like air brakes.

...though your 993 may have been more popular with kids than "Sally Porsche"

When it rains it pours....
The ticket? Yep, you guessed it. No Front Tag. 50 bucks.
I'm not messing around now, even with the excellent, detailed description of how to install it on my car in that Turbo grill area with zip ties, I wouldn't be able to figure it out. I have no way to bend my license plate, particularly with my current sprained arm. Also, just my luck, I'd get another 2 tickets or so for it not being displayed exactly, to the letter of the law, correctly, with all the tops and bottoms parts of it showing perfectly.
Sucks...

AFAIK, of all the RLers who've adopted a version of Mike J's Turbo bumper solution, none have ever been ticketed/ cited/ received a warning, etc., for it.
Since you've paid fines, I understand your trepidation that it's still not 100% legal in your area. (TommyG's or Magdaddy's install may be closest.)
If fear of a future ticket takes your fun out of it, I suspect folks like me, Mike J, GrahamPeterM, Magdaddy, TommyG, JPP, etc., might pitch in $5 each (PayPal, etc.) if you get another fine.
FWIW - of the 3 shots a popular photog posted of my 993 at RRIV, 1 was the following. Maybe he liked Mike J's solution.
Regardless: good luck!

Hey Andreas,
We are dealing with a front plate "Intervention". If it takes 10 pages or even 20 pages, we now have Steve off the ledge and he is coming around. I am proud of how Steve is handling this and it shows the power of Rennlist, again.

I think you would have a better chance getting pulled over for a cut-up semi-hidden plate than no plate at all, but I live in PA where such tomfoolery is not necessary.

I'm in Miami right now visiting family and my sister is wondering why we have to have front plates in MD but not in FL? She doesn't understand why one state would require it and another not and thinks it's ridiculous that I have to have one on my little car. I wonder why it's not a nationalized thing, either all yes or all no? Weird.
It of course doesn't matter as it is what it is, but it's funny to be driving around all day and not see one front plate down here. You have wonder about things like this... Or, I do at least being an inquisitive guy.
