Am trying to be "period correct" and I believe they had the option to match body color, but not sure if you could have ordered a red car with black / silver wheels. The best info I can find suggests the factory finish was silver paint with body color paint on the spokes. Not polished outer lip. Anyone confirm?

The other thing to think about is the calipers. Can't tell from the pictures but they're probably black at the moment. If you go with black rims, those calipers have to be red.

I love the black centers and polished lip, a modern interpretation of the classic Fuchs wheel !

I have this on my list of desired mods for my C4S.

IMHO the red body color is a bit trite and already dated.
