I would try the crack filler - but the edges of the cracks are raised. Seems you would need to fill and lightly sand to smooth out... then would need to touch up with an exact match on color.
I did some additional research...
A few new data points:
Dallas does leather dash work and charges -
- Both upper & lower sections $1100.
- Upper only $725.
- Lower only $425.
Plus shipping. ~ $300. Turn around time about a week.
A new dash from Germany - 3 to 5 weeks delivery - $2,557.
Who has replaced a dash and what is involved...

I watched 9m do a dash top removal and it looked really easy, but they make everything look easy ...

Thanks Chuck - I found another thread on getting the upper dash out that you provided some great details. Seems there is a 10 mm nut that need to be removed behind the clock.
I did find a thread that explained the screwdriver prying maneuver with a shop towel to protect the outside ring... is this the best way to get the clock out?

I would leather cover it, or buy a replacement from a wrecking yard. I've seen some crack fixes, they will look good for a little wile, then the crack repair will start to stand out, or you will get more cracks.

If I can't find a pristine one from one of the yards - I will go the leather recover route.

some years ago, maybe 4? I had the interior of my cab redone. the vinyl had turned from classic grey to a bluish tone but the leather seats and steering wheel were still the nice classic grey. I used classic 9 leather(928 leather back then) and it looks great. the leather isn't as smooth as I wanted but the color is a good match.
shipping was a big issue, guitar boxes work, but it was still 100 bucks or so to ship each box.
I would think you have lots of options in CA(if that's where san carlos is located).
autos international did the door panels on my coupe

if you are located in the city of good living pull the dash and go for a drive to escondido.
or call, they sent a bunch of samples when I was trying to match the door panels.

Dash Replacement Update
Here is the update - found a leather upper dash from LA Dismantler for Porsche - the dash came out of a turbo. It is reported to be in excellent condition - no marks, or damage. It should arrive today or tomorrow. Hopefully it will appear as described. More to follow.

The dash arrived with a nasty scratch above the vent. Peter at LA Dismantler was great and has promised to make it right and get me a PRISTINE dash - or why bother... right!
