If you get the heavy duty double sided tape (the kind with the gray adhesive and the red plastic backing) it will stick just fine and it's not thick enough to be noticeable. Works like a charm.....It also has the added advantage of not marring the air bag cover if removed. It's win in all areas...

well folks, I guess I'm going to have 2 993s.
Andreas...used denatured alcohol to prep the hell out of the airbag and the back of the badge. Applied a thin layer of household goop to the back of the badge. Applied, held by hand for at least 3 or 4 minutes, before I could get the tape on, the badge started sliding down the wheel.
The steering wheel quite plainly does not want anything on it.
Andreas, when can i pick up the dung beetle?

Congrats on the new car, get it detailed and it should be OK.
I used the double sided red backed tape and it has held for over a year, it does not stick out much from the airbag. Just make sure you have the curve right to match the airbag.

ok, tried it one more time with the goop, followed the instructions to an absolute T, and nothing...after two hours, a little nudge causes the badge to rotate and at that point its all over.
I'm literally beyond confused.

Geez Quad what kind or silicone protectant do you use on your interior? Obviously it lasts
Is your steering wheel dyed? Maybe that would have something to do with it not adhering? I still think you need to get a fine sandpaper and just give it a little swipe back and forth 2 or 3 times light pressure just to take the sheen off the vinyl. Don't actually scuff it up so it looks bad, just enough to take any protectant that may not be removed with the alcohol wipe. YMMV

Maybe you need to jack up the rear end, to level out the steering wheel's angle, so the badge won't slide down during the curing process.
