I have a 993 RS that has AC, it was an available option in Japan, and I think for all of ROW.

Udo ^^ Watch this space for more interesting silver US RS info + pics.

Hank-- Really appreciate your prompt response & insights!

Calvin-- From what I hear, below's yellow RS will be in next weekend's "History of the 911" display at Rennsport Reunion. The silver RS should also be at Laguna Seca, IIRC.

I've enjoyed being around two this summer (pix below), & have consistently heard there are only ~4 factory RS' that have been federalized / DOT legalized.
I'm hoping to confirm what's accurate.

Ryan-- If you stand corrected, I'm with you

Clubsport1-- FWIW, I took those photos of the silver US RS ... including its silver roll cage. You hopefully zoomed in on the image for a closer look before positing that it had a black cage, but if not, please do so now.

I'll follow up with more shots to try to help.

Detail/zoom of a new "Jäger Shot"
The silver cage's easier to see:

Likewise in the passenger rear quarter window (from the "Rennlist/ PCA member's 993 SPEEDSTER" thread):

I hope the owner doesn't mind these photos.

Clubsport1, it's a real M003 no pony here

"When is a CS not a CS ???"
My rule of thumb is gearbox, cage and aero kit, all else seems to be up to the order sheet.
What have you seen, heck I have even seen them with a sunroof.

It has A/C, stereo, air bags etc... Hot chicks, not hot laps.

Calvin-- I was thinking we must run in some of the same circles. Now? No doubt

It is a factory M003 RS club sport that was optioned with comfort interior from what I understand.
It was offered for sale a couple years ago, asking around $500,000 US if I recall.

There are 3 that I know of, yellow m002,black m003 and that polar silver m003. All 3 of which at one point where based in the Northwest US.
Interor photos to follow. Big thanks to a RLer friend for confirmation.

Extra eye candy: enjoy the McLaren F1, limited edition 997 Sport Classic, Morgan Aero, etc.

Looks like a Heigo rollcage like one in my M002 (CS has Matter cage and does not have a hinge as you can see in the last picture). I also do not see the front A piller welded part of the cage and the diagonal piece adjacent to the door. I have to agree with Clubsport1. I commented on the F-Chat forum that it looked like the M002 version with Clubsport spoiler pack and that is what I will classify this car as even if the sticker suggests M003 (I would like to see a photo of the build sheet or the bonnet sticker of that car). In fact if I put the CS spoiler pack on my car it will be an almost exactly the same as the Silver car.

Pretty sure the silver RS in posts 37-40 is the same car discussed here:https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...53-993-rs.html
and here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...found-one.html

Purchased and imported by a Rennlister in Oregon. Sure looks like a "comfort spec"/M002 model to me. Airbags, the 1/2 cage (Heigo), A/C, and the Clubsport spoilers were optional (and quite common) on the M002 model. A true factory RS/CS has no carpets, ignition kill switch, fabric seats, welded Matter cage as visual clues (besides the obvious CS spoilers).

Also, the above mentioned Polar Silver RS has been listed for sale a couple times since Joe sold it. IIRC, the asking price was ~$200K.

It was advertised for sale as a m003 Club Sport with comfort interior a couple years ago. I wonder where they draw the line, like Clubsport1 is asking? Biggest factor would be gear box?

Another point is that it was offered with the light weight RS hardback sport seats; as shown in Jagers photos, though the photos I have show the RS race shells.

1. I think whomever listed the car was mistaken.

2. Distinguishing and telltale sign would be the VIN.

3. The RS and RS/CS have slightly different ratios in their gearbox as well as a different designation (I'll look them up in a few).

4. The car, as delivered to Joe, featured even-later GT3 CS seats. I believe the car was originally equipped with the "lightweight"(no power height adjustment) leather hardback sport seats. The leather Recaro "buckets" (very similar to Pole Positions) were usually in cars without airbags. A scan of the option sticker will tell all.

I remember Joe looking for the car and purchasing it through Tom Schmidt in Germany - it is M002. Clubsport1 and I included (and I'm sure all those in the know) will only consider M003 as one with a factory welded "jungle gym" in the car

Another note. If we're talking about real-deal 993RS' of either kind (M002 or M003), we can't forget Jerry's Riviera Blue M002 993RS. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...Seinfeld+993rs

That car brings tears to my eyes.
