Dash Center Vent Assembly - Part Number

Dash Center Vent Assembly - Part Number
Hi,
My dash center vent assembly keeps flying out upon boost-check. Turns out the plastic clips that fastens the assembly to the dash are all broken. I have to buy the entire assembly. Does anyone know what the part number is? Mine is black. I think they are all black, but I could be wrong on this one.
Better yet, anyone has one, or know of one, that I can buy? I think I'll try Parts Haven also.
Thanks for the education, as always.

Hiya Pong,
Is this what you're looking for?
Part number is 964 572 051 00 (there's an appended '01C' for 'satin black')

Hi Ash,
That is the part. I checked with Fletcher Jones, and they said $129 plus tax. I have their preferred customer card and get 10% off. Whoppieeeee...
I will call Sun Coast on Friday. Parts Haven does not have it.
Thanks.
Chuck,
Great to know that your long-term memory is working just fine. Wish I can say the same thing. Sigh.......One day soon, your entire body will work as well as your long term memory, then you can get your 'boost' again.

How about $79 for a brand new genuine Porsche part with 2 year factory warranty?

CP,
With the vent removed, how har into the ductwork can you see? Are you able to see the tube connected to the housing to confirm they are not loose? Investigating air flow problem in my vents. Looking at the vent, can you explain how the tabs hold it in place?
Thanks!!

Hi Pong!
I was wondering when you will fix that! Grace was quite excited when we went for our drive, catching the center vent every time we accelerated! Its sounds like a cheap fix at the end, good news!
Cheers,
Mike

Here is the fix, with pics showing the throat of the in-dash vent, the top views of the new (left)/old (right) vents. You will see that the new ones have metal clips on each side. These will bend/slip under the top lip of the vent, snap back and hold the unit in place. In the old unit, those metal clips were broken off. You can see the metal showing under the two oval tabs.
It is working like a charm now. Thanks for all the help.

Did you try to take the vents apart and swap the vents between the two units? I have never taken this kind of unit apart, so it maybe plastic sealed and impossible to take apart
