Remember those ugly step children of the pre-PDK era? I'd likely end up with a beater '07.

Can't explain it... don't look for an explanation, but I went backwards too.

A few Carreras (with various engine sizes) to 997 back to 964... tried a 996TT - doesn't make me smile as much as it should.

Now looking at a 993 C2... I need a second one for when the 964 is out of comission. But hey, I got two air cooled 911s for less than the 997 was.

Hi

As far as handling goes I can comment on the 964 C4 which would understeer heavily. Not so bad if fitted with dampers with a stronger rebound. It also was a total tractor with the diffs locked and would drive on soft sand that way. Very unusual ability for a performance car.

This is why prices of older Porsches are appreciating; Porsche don't make cars like they used too. Just look at the prices of used 996, they are below 993's.

Installing a rear RS swaybar will significantly reduce understeer. Problem solved!

Hi GT9111

RS swaybar.....I wish I had known that. Sadly my 964 time was before the internet and Rennlist!

Secretly I would really like a 964 with 993 rear suspension and engine if such a thing existed.
