Bravo to Darin/Fister Stage III
Gents,
Wanted to send some props out to Darin and his Fister Stage III mufflers. I've been running Robin Sun's RSR's for the past 6 years or so and they were OK but I've been wanting a more aggressive/assertive sound from my 993. Took the mufflers off and sent them to Darin and before you know it I'm back under the car and installing the Stage III-modded cans. First drive was yesterday and my, what a wonderful improvement! Much more burble at idle; assertiveness under throttle and a great pop on the overrun. The sound at FT at 5.5K while next to a stone wall is amazing: how a 993 should sound under those conditions. Although my car isn't a DD, there would be no issues with "the neighbors" if I was to leave pre-dawn to make a early flight (obviously with very little throttle in a residential area and a cold engine). Darin's customer service is superb and for me, at the Stage III price point, there simply can't be a better exhaust choice for 993 guys. Cheers,

go Big or go home! Just had mine installed last Wed...and I LOVE the sound...very aggressive...and you can manage the neighbor factor by easy throttle (I just go in neutral down the hill).
My son asked, "Dad--does it go faster, now?!" And I replied, "Sure SOUNDS like we're going faster, right?!"
Big props FD Motorsports!

I'm just getting used to my IIs now. It seems like the more I drive my car the more I like it.
Problem is once I hear IIIs I might have to switch! If you are worried about going to loud IIs are perfect.
