Bought a 3rd brake light spoiler from "over there" got it from Las Vegas today. The glas lens for the light was broken. You can see how someone tryed to glue it!!
Cabel was missing. I payed 300$ in freight, 100$ for the part.......and the nice Swedish custom charged me 200$.........in tax for the US parcel cost and some other suspect fees.
In total just the amount for a brand new one at Porsche center here in Sweden.

Buyer's Protection: send it back, get your money back. eBay takes the buyer's side 99% of the time.

And give him a bad rating on eBay as well.

Sorry for the bad experience but ebay is a real crap shoot, and then Las Vegas makes the odds (no pun intended) even worse. Not that you should know this, but Las Vegas is one of the unfortunate leaders in the US for the highest amount of home foreclosures. People are desperate to sell anything to get some $$. Hope it works out for you in the long run.

If you had paid some/all of the shipping to the seller by way of a credit card, you may be able to dispute the charge and have the seller eat it. I am not familiar with how that would work in Sweden, but you may want to look into it.

Bummer. Sorry to hear of this. As the others have said, you can give the seller a bad rating w/Ebay. But you should give the seller a opportunity, to do the right thing and refund your purchase first.

Here are the pictures of the light bar that has been glued before......
It was the UPS that charged 300$...then it came with US mail.
Instead of felling sorry for me...please help me out in the thread on Drilling the holes for this sucker...

Yes, I feel your pain. I had a similarly bad experience, tried to be patient and work with the seller as Ebay recommends. The seller strung me along with promises to refund, insurance claims etc. etc. Just be aware that Ebay and Paypal will do ZERO to help you after 90 days have expired (which my seller obviously knew), so if you don't get prompt satisfaction from the seller, make sure you file a case with Ebay well before 90 days. I have learned that while you can get great things on Ebay, you have to expect to incur losses in dealing with unscrupulous people a certain (small) percentage of the time...

Immediately tell the Seller to Fix or threaten to post name and email on all listings. Post all details you can find on this guy on forums and Challenge the sale with Ebay and Paypal.
I hope you can negotiate a good settlement for you.
Be aggressive (90 days go quick) and courteous and get the ball rolling NOW.

Good Luck
