Not bad. Similar to the 997 in the front, with a hint of Cayman/Panamera and a lower pitched A-pillar. Aston Martinesque tail lights. The interior center console is not as bad as I thought. Porsche by now has learned its lesson to evolve these cars slowly.

The front reminds me a bit of the Audi R8. And the interior looks a lot like my Audi.
Somehow is looking more and more like a sedan with every new iteration of the 911...
It's code name is the 991...we have to wait 2 more iterations to buy a brand new 993!

I like it. The differences are subtle but with a "cleaned up" modern look. It's nicely streamlined, esp in the rear and yet still has the smooth curves. It will look better debadged; the rear badges are awfully big, take them off or maybe use something smaller.
The engine lid has a nice shape that follows the curved lines of the rest of the car. The large gill slits of the spoiler are too large but have been this way with all the 997s. I realize they have better functionality but I've always felt that were disproportionately large.
With so many current cars having a sharp-edged "Transformer" design, this is one of the few remaining with a curvaceous body style (Jaguar and Aston included.)
The interior is "Panamera-ish." It appears to be more ergonomic. I don't like the excessive chrome trim but no doubt you can order any trim option $$ you want.

Something just doesn't look right at the rear end from the side profile. Not sure if it's the flared out bottom or uber small engine bay lid....looks like they left just enough room to add oil from the top (oh yea...and coolant too ). It'll be interesting to see the dozens of model variations on this one.

hmm, I like it just fine and Im sure it will be a great car BUT, its bigger and its losing the whole appeal of the 911 to begin with. Its moving towards a rear-engine 928. More of a GT, less of a sports car. The badging on the back is horrible - as if people won't know what the hell it is - and while I love the interior on the Panamera, I like simple, efficient and "lighter" looking interiors on sports cars (like the 993!). This is more R8 competitor and less weekend track toy.

I like it. Lowering and raking the windshield along with widening the body pretty much fixed what I didn't like about the 997 ..

I'll stick to my 993. They pretty much broke the mold after the 993 I hate to say. The 997 was going in the right direction, but now it's going backwards again.

I think its attractive and looks purposeful. Early accounts is that it is a remarkably quick car. The issue for most here, including me, is that these cars no longer sports cars but GTs.
Best luck to Porsche with their new model.
