Sooo, yesterday afternoon I got a call from Marc Clowes at 9m. He's the bloke behind all the builds you see here on RL including my and Graham's Speedsters and the current 9m93RSCS thread ... He asked if he could fly in to SFO and join me for Rennsport and of course, I said 'sure' ... currently trying to revise my hotel reservations and figure out how to get an entry ticket for him. I'll keep you posted ...

VERY COOL.

You can get tickets still on line and will call them at the Embassy Suites. We just did that a few days ago. You can also get them at the gate for $80.00 each. Will call is $60.00.

How many people here are going to the Quail Lodge on Sunday?

Sweet. How far is the Embassy Suites from the track? (I guess I could look it up, eh? ...)
No Quail for me ... I'm lucky I booked my Rennsport stuff before I got the final bill from 9m ..

Ok, so I don't know what I'm waiting for, here's the deal: Tim is donating his 3 tickets and 2 Corral Parking passes to Joanne's 'Walking for Boobies' effort and I'm buying one of those entry tickets for 9m's Marc Cowles so he can get into Rennsport for the weekend. Sooo, there are 2 entry tickets available and 2 Corral Parking passes .. all proceeds to be donated to Joanne for her 'Boobie Walk' :-) Here's a cross-post to the thread I just put up: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=66492 First come, first served, Who's in?

From the PCA:

There is NO event sponsored by Porsche Club of America to support a “Road to Monterey Caravan” to the Rennsport Reunion. In all honesty, the risk management is potentially too huge for the club to absorb.

However, some Southern California Porsche dealerships have offered their locations as meeting places for those who wish to hook up with a group headed to Monterey.

What I understand is this, the dealerships will open early that morning and provide coffee and pastries to begin the day. At each site, the plan is for you to provide your own arrival time and on each hour from 8:00 to 11:00, a group will head out toward Monterey. “Leadership” will be an assumed responsibility by whoever volunteers to do so.

The dealerships are:

· Porsche of Downtown Los Angeles - 1900 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007

· Rusnak Porsche, Pasadena - 325 West Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena CA, 91105

· Porsche of Bakersfield - 6000 Wible Road, Bakersfield, California 93313

· Porsche Santa Barbara - 402 South Hope Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

So, to recap --

· Who’s in the group? Anybody who shows up and is ready to go!

· Who leads the group? Anybody who volunteers to do so.

· Remember – this is NOT a PCA event.

· Information - Porscheroadtomonterey-2011@yahoo.net

We have our own itinerary, as I'm sure most others here do as well. Just thought that I pass this info along....

Well, the P-car couldn't make it (damn 928 electronics in a 951...), but I'm at 35,000 MSL over Missouri right now headed to SFO.

Fun day in SF tomorrow (going to prison), Yosemite on Thur, then we'll drive in style in our rental Ford to the track on Fri.

Be at the BierGarten Fri and Sat.

Drive safe!
