Default Mobil 1 15W-50 5 Quart Jug Comeback?

Getting close to doing an oil change and found that WalMart no longer stocks the 5qt jugs of 15W-50. I know there are a few threads on this, but found some encouraging news from Mobil for those who would rather pay roughly $4.75 a quart instead of $8+.

Found this post on Mobil's forum:

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...t_Walmart.aspx

Checked my local WM here and still not on the shelves but hopefully by my next oil change. Then I'll do a major restock.

I too was not one with Walmart, but trips to procure certain items that could only be acquired there (the aforementioned 15W-50 jugs, up until recently, for one) made me OK with it. I just keep my camera phone at the ready to capture those unique Walmart moments...

As long as it is available elsewhere in 1qt containers, I'll pass. But each to their own. I vote with my wallet on this one-there is nothing cheap enough, that I cannot get somewhere else, or that I need so badly, as to walk in one of those stores.

Why, was there an "old" formula?

Old or new, I doubt anyone is going to wear out there engines on the street.
