Ok, all done. It went very smooth. I still have title, he has the car. I deposited the funds. When clear, overnighting it.
Thanks again guys, I probably wouldn't have had the confidence to go through with it without this thread and your input. Lack of experience on my part really, and too many scams on the news.
Maybe someone will read this in the future and it will help them get through the unknowns.

Glad it went OK. Seemed pretty straight forward from the get-go.
On a side note... I'd love to see someone getting on a plane with $28K in cash today. That'd be a hoot. Unless you happen to be behind them in a security line.
