Default "Baby" gets a new tail, and....

some other goodies:
-Installing IQ3 data system, about 50% there,

-Took off the GT2 deck lid and installed a new tail (Pic Enclosed). I hooked up the brake lights built into the tail. It's a Aero Kit 1B knock off. It was time for a
new look. My former GT2 deck lid/tail with the two (2) air scoops was too much. The wing Aerokit 1B wing was wrapped by the former owner in a
faux carbon fiber tape. I'll remove that one of these days. This tail is clearly a knock off, NOT original...but it is legal in PCA and POC Club Racing as this
wing was sold in the US as an option. The tail lacks the part number as seen here. Who care..it was cheap and in good shape. Of course I could have
bought an original for substantially more for what I paid for this one. As I discovered in a web search, "Porsche 993 RS-Tequipment-Heckspoiler, original Preis für 1 Stück, silber-meth., Nr. 000.044.800.25 / UP.GM 30, komplett mit Gitter, 3. Bremsleuchte fehlt, Neupreis : 2100,- Euro, gebraucht,
sehr guter Zustand, Preisrabatt möglich, bitte anfragen"

Or, in English....(Thanks Google Translate!): "Porsche 993 RS-Tequipment rear spoiler, original price for one piece, silver-meth, No. 000.044.800.25 / UP.GM 30,
complete with grill, third brake light is missing, new price. 2100, - €, used, very good state, price discounts available, please inquire " No thanks!!!! 2100, - € = $2,993, ouch...I'll take the US reproduction anytime.

You will note my FD Motorsports exhaust elbows...moves the sound to the left, the Laguna Seca sound meter is on the right. Thanks FD Motorsports!!! Thanks Darin!!!

Default Very observant....

on your part...If I can think of a new most clever Cali plate, I'll send this one up to you. You know that the background is a whale painted by Wyland.

I'll post some better pics when I get the car back next week. It is really a great tail..plenty of surface area on the deck. + the forward facing wing, with Gurney lip, of course.

Now get to sleep...it's late up there!

Seeing as how you like to change parts on your car (tails, exhausts, brakes, wheels, tires etc...) how about these suggestions for your new plate: 993ADD, or GOTTAIL, or GOTPARTS, or NEWPART, or MNYPIT...

Default You have me thinking...

Clever ideas, indeed.

The new whale tail plate is below. California fired the original artisy, Wayland". He wanted 30% of the proceeds to go to charity. California needed the money to go to other projects. Take that you pesky artist, you're fired!

Can't you just see the RS Tail script across there?

I thought the RS Tail was pretty "clever" approach. Nobody seemed to get it. Maybe my friends are obtuse. Or maybe the idea was just plain dumb ???

Default The Boys...

Brent, Guy and Gabe from SGS Motorsports are doing great. As you would expect, Brent has a new race car, a 964 RS America, properly tricked out, as you would expect. All is well in the "happiest City in The United States."
