Default 993 Regret Thread

I dont know what the rules are on this but there was a thread on NSXPrime posted, called The NSX Regret thread...i figured something like this would be fun on here...Think modifications, maintenance, selling it, or any parts you've sold...anything you regret relating to the 993! Like it was stated on the other forum, maybe it will save others from making the same mistakes by reading ours!

I'll start with:
I regret selling my 993
I regret buying ebay corner lenses
I regret buying a 996 after my 993

Default I regret...

Selling my 993 M030 RoW suspension. It was just fine in retrospect....The PSS9 suspension I replaced it with has been rebuilt, 2X for the front, 1X for the rear. It's about $400 an axle to rebuild. I bought it used with ERP camber plates....had I been the original owner, maybe Bilstein would have replaced it....I had to stretch for this regret. Everything else done I am pleased with, NO REGRETS:
-Heigo bolt in cage
-MOMO steering with quick release
-IQ3 data logger (Pending)
-ERP rear toe links
-ERP rear camber links
-RS motor and tranny mounts
-FD Motorsports Stage 1 mufflers
-FD Motorsports Platinum rod
-Factory SSK
-Fabspeed X pipes with 200 cell cats
-Walrod front bushings
-GT2 front splitters
-MY 2002 996 wheels
-Aerokit 1B tail
-Race seats
-RS carpet kit
-Steel synchros in tranny
-lower dash with air bag and glove compartment delete
-Heater blower motor delete
-Ruf oil cooler

The car is still, almost, street legal....no air bags.

I regret not buying quick release lines when buying my Motons resulting in some "adjustments" to make things fit where I wanted them.

I regret not buying a sealed battery before the vented one leaked all over the place.

Other than that it's been the best of times

No regrets here, either on the 4S or the faux RS. Each does what I expect/demand of the car, within budget, and have really required nothing other than routine maintenance in 40k (4S) or 6K (95% being full-on track use for the yellow car).

Maybe I'll think of something later, but I can honestly say that I don't have a single regret with my 993.

Okay, just thought of something: I regret not getting a Momo Mod .07 wheel sooner and can't believe that I actually raced with the school bus wheel for so long. The Momo made a huge difference in car control.

996 street GT3 seats, they sat way too high in the 993.

Bilstein HDs. They suck IMHO. Replaced with KW V3s which are worlds better.

Everything else is fantastic - especially the g50/31

I regret that most of you will never have an RS gearbox.
