Steve, interesting idea. I'm sure my sign shop can make them for me in what they call "removable" stock (we'll see how removable once they finally make my sponsor stickers for the autocross car.

Magnetics... I'm a bit concern. That's one large magnet that needs to be pretty flexible.

Damn, why don't they make them in 18" or 17"? They'd be on my car.

Avrum-- IMHO, the Sport Classics look much better on your black 993 than the black 997s I've seen so far. Nice!

Mike-- Unless you're waiting for Porsche to sell 17s or 18s, check the "futuristic FUCHS" thread...

At least two companies currently sell 17s (up to four, including those built on 16" hoops), & one sells 18s.

Fit 993s?

As I posted before, the Zuffen wheels are forged, and have the proper proportions aesthetically. They are also 3 pc wheels, which would offer somewhat unlimited widths and offsets, although lots of care has bee put into the proper lip sections to replicate the originals.

The problem with the guys making wheels out of 16" donor centers, is that they are based on 22-30something year old wheels.

Exactly. IMHO, they're not the modern / 'proper' solution for most 993s seeking 17s, etc.

IIRC, Lindsey Racing's & Rota's 17s are built on 16" hoops.

18" are available from AirKewld (Iozzio's).

Anyone confirmed 993 fitment (widths/ offsets)?

I was hoping for SCs because you can generally find OEM wheels used after a while. Not so much with rare non-OEM wheels as people tend to buy the, when they are sure that's what they want. The Fuchs look is not a novelty so it wouldn't become dated after 4-5 years.

I'm not really going to spend $3-4K on wheels or any "look" item on a car. Just my personal preference as this amount of money buys a lot of Hoosiers
