SCs put me back in the saddle.
I had bought a 98 C2S but didnt drive it much. I bought an 08 C4S and bought Sport Classics and black Stoneguards ala Speedster. Preferred an 08 Targa,so I put SCs and stonguards as well. BUT, the SCs look best on my Black C2S and selling my 997 so I can drive this more

Thanks, Darin!
No, that doesn't look right at all to me. Maybe it's the car's color and silver wheels, maybe an angle. Maybe just the fact that 993 stoneguard is _way_ taller than 997s? I think that might be the reason right there.
Here's a related weirdness. My stoneguards got really dirty in the winter. Strangely so, I have not seen anything like that before. I was pretty much resigned to having to replace them. Until a car wash this week. It managed to clean a large part of right side's guard and small part of left side. I have not figured out what they used on the car. All I got is a suggestion to try cleaning them with microfiber towel (?). Any thought?

Avrum- Love the wheels!! Wish they made them for nb 993's!
Mike, mine came like this when I bought it (picture taken in po driveway):
It was not my taste so I removed them - not sure where they came from, but they peeled off pretty easy and I know where they ended up...

Forged "Fachs" are available, and I believe they've done 993 versions...

My 17" wheels weigh 15.2/15.8 lbs respectively, they are worth every penny. Long wait, however.
That is my thought too.

Steve, where did they end up? If you have not chucked them, I'd like to get my hands on them to see what they'd like like.
More and more I'm thinking that with black/polished wheels they might actually look OK, especially if trimmed at the top.

I have seen magnetic ones for sale in the past - they wouldn't be hard to make if you had the template, and you can buy the magnetic material at sign shops.
Edit - here's a place that sells magnetic stone guards for 993 http://www.magnagrafik.com/Products.aspx

+1 for more pics of your C2S!
also, the black $55 SGs mentioned are for 997s. Smaller and much thinner material than needed for the 993s.
finding black SGs in 14mil material could be tough....
