It is a very active color with lots of character under different lighting conditions...

 

When it's time for me to do a brake job on my 993, I'm going to get the calipers painted AR to match. I think it will look slick.

 

Light affects this color a lot.

 

I will never stop loving this color. I think the hard part is that I'm potentially ruined for any future 993s I buy.

Time for an update for this thread.

It was a gloomy Saturday morning at the local C&C that was further challenged by the Woodward Dream Cruise taking place on the same day. However Chris @ C-A-R Visuals snapped a few nice pictures that capture arena red in a sombre light well.

 

I like it. Someone at a local PCA event took this of my car.

by any chance does anyone have a picture of a 993 Arena Red next to another porsche painted "GTS Red"? Separately they look exactly the same to me, so was wondering if next to each other they would be different

 

Cant offer a pic but a friend of mine has both a Cayman and Cayenne in GTS Red. I would say the color is very distinctly different than Arena Red.

First and foremost, Arena Red is metallic. GTS Red has no metallic. In direct sunlight, GTS Red looks notably more red. Under cloudy skies GTS Red looks notably more brown.


Arena Red, to me anyway, seems much more consistent in color irrespective of lighting. Likely a product of the metallic paint.

 

I'll play - and lighting does make a difference- as do the wheels!

 

 

Anyone been able to successfully replicate this color with a wrap? If so, which color from what company?
