Mine came with the motoround package...difference is the drilled out airbox lid and the mufflers. The actual differnence on the mufflers is internal...there is an internal pipe on both mufflers...the motorsound internal pipe has a slightly larger diameter than stock...thats it. If your considering fisters but want to keep it only slightly louder than stock ..call Darin and ask about Stage I's. Everyone goes right to the II's so I dont think he advertises the I's anymore. I went from I's to III's....
Based on what you have mentioned...Stage I's , which are a touch louder than motorsounds will be perfect for you.

[QUOTE=Stealth 993;8660316]You can get the airbox for $75. It also has a chrome trumpet. That is correct, the OEM motor sound package was only the air box. It sounds nice at WOT (wide open throttle). if look is not important, you can search for threads ofr the equivallent do it uself (drilled holes on the box).

Took the mufflers to a muffler shop where they opened up a couple of holes (~1.5") with a cutting torch, then welded in some inexpensive 2" muffler pipe between the two holes.
For those who aren't familier, LPMM (Leland Pate Muffler Mod, named after the RL'er who experimented with it several years ago) is simply a by-pass between the in and out flow muffler pipes just ahead of the muffler can. This is basically what a Motorsound muffler is, except the by-pass is inside the muffler. The Motorsound by-pass is about 1" in diameter, IIRC. The LPMM will sound louder if the holes and by-pass pipe are larger, quieter if smaller. Smaller than 1.25" or so doesn't yield any real difference in sound. Some have used stainless tubing, but I couldn't see the extra expense being worth it.
Hope that helps.

Sorry, my bad, I had the motor sound package on my 993, but ended up changing the mufflers (RSR type) and there was such a change in sound (more grunt, louder) that I assumed the previous mufflers were "standard"...

My car came with the motorsound airbox and mufflers. I swapped out the mufflers with RSR. I've had Supercup mufflers on the car for a few months and they didn't grow on me but I did joy them while they were on. I've heard Darin's car with the Stage IIIs. They sounded very nice but the RSR are the level I enjoy for a daily driver.
