Smile Airfilter change, peed in my pants !

Ok, so you buy a 993. Everyone tell you how to do this and that.

I decide to replace the Air Filter. Easy according all the Rennlisters and all the postings over the years. So I download webpages and read for a while that this is a easy peasy thing to do.

I open the frunk. Get the parts and the tools. Replace according to the DIY manuals found on the web.

I reinstall all the parts and get back in the car. Fire up the engine.
NO MORE A/C CONTROL !!!!
What is happening here. Bad filters ? Reverse installment ?
I pee in my pants.
What happened ? Used the guidance of my esteem members, and printed the manual , pictures and had all the correct tools.
Disconnect and back to square one. OMG.
Any how I am pulling wiring diagrams and looking at all the options. Where can a simple mechanical swap can get me so soaking wet ?

Do the same reinstall, no changes. Switches are not working for the airflow into the cabin.

OK back to the board. Circuit breakers, fuses. Bingo. Somewhere somehow and why, the controlling fuse (no.1) has blown.

Reinstall everything and then reinstall the new 25 fuse.

It works again, and I lost 10 pounds. A simple DIY came about like a shadow python going for it.

Beer time !!

I did the same thing. I think it is because if the filter isn't in perfectly, the fan drags and blows the fuse.

Same here. But I think I know what I did wrong. I don't think the filter was seated properly on my initial install and I think the fan hit the filter, found resistance and there went the fuse.
