It wasn't until I tracked my Porsche when I realized what Porsche ownership really means to me. I don't own a Porsche because I want to attract women, I own a Porsche because it is a mighty fun car to drive around race tracks (I only wish I was exposed to more tracks). Besides, when driving down the street in my 993, I'd say only about 10% of the people look at the car. Most people go about their daily business ignoring it (which is fine by me). Now if it was an exotic car like a Lambo, they might have a 2nd look. But unless the deal of the century is presented me, I will always buy German before I buy Italian.

My wife borrowed my 97-911 for a few weeks after she lost her job and company car. She thought all the guys were checking her out before she realized it was the car.

Can't wait to ask my girlfriend what she thinks about all of this. She didn't know I owned a 993 until weeks after our first date. Only saw my dirty old Toyota Forunner DD.
