I wouldn't want to ship seats either. Especially if I didn't have a vehicle that I could put them in to take them to the shipper.
Regardless of whether I think it's cool, the guy can charge whatever he thinks his time and effort is worth for the shipping. If I don't like it, I don't have to buy them.
If I wanted them and didn't want to pay $450 in shipping, I'd try to find a nice p-car guy local to the seller, give him a 12-pack of Miller High Life and have HIM ship them to me.

It is entertaining.
Yes, they are great supportive seats! Are in fact more "sporty" then the hadbacked seats.
What I don't like is this guy put them up for sale for $1500. Then got a bunch of offers. Realized he can get more, & wants to start an "auction" on them. Then after that just changes this price & adds $500+ ship to ship.
Very poor taste IMHO. Doesn't look like some one I would want to hang out with.

I don't understand the issue with shipping seats. Two seats fit in my Jetta. Wrap some foam sheet on them then a layer of bubble wrap, two good boxes. I paid less than $130/seat for pack and ship recently.

I had seats shipped from Seattle to SLC UPS. Dropped off at a motorsports shop that routinely sells seats. They packaged each seat in a box with a bit of packing and UPS picked them up. I paid the shop ~$125 to pack and ship each seat.
I just checked the UPS website ... to ship two 20x25x38 boxes weighing 30 lbs each with a total value of $600 from SLC to Ft Lauderdale, FL is $235. Greyhound bus would be about $100.

My point is, get the value right before you post, don't upsell your self when you find you have a hotter then thought item.
It just comes off cheap, petty, & not in the spirit of the forum.

You do realize, he wants $500 extra for the hassle to ship, plus CHARGE you shipping on top of the extra $500.
