Jeezus on a bicycle! $1500 for a set of regular 944/964 sport seats? Wow! I remember selling my RSA seats for that much a few years ago and thought that was a lot. Back then the leather seats were under a grand. They look to be in really nice shape though!

My 951 was optioned with these in full linen leather. They are without doubt one of the most comfortable and supportive seats I have.

I wouldn't sell mine for $1500.

Is it wrong that I found the thread entertaining?

As to the seats themselves, IMO they are the best seats ever installed in a Porsche. Good looking, comfortable (as long as you fit), and great at holding you in place. A much better "sport" seat than the later harbacks, again IMO.

I'm with the seller on this. Way to much hassle to package such a large heavy item times 2. If I was buying, I'd want to pick them up personally, as I'd worry they'd be damaged during transit, besides I would want to see the seats in person before handing over my money.
Nice seats. Have the same in my 968, but arguable whether any better than the comfort seats in my 993. Didn't realize they are so sought after.

I guess the saying "there is an *** for every seat" applies to even seats! The asking $$$ in the ebay ad is silly.

Just for the hell of it, I clicked on the shipping link in the ad and it says $18 via USPS to Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope someone from Canada buys them and insists he ship them for $18. After he rents a car to get the box home, packs them up and then rents a truck to deliver them to the post office (and rents a crane to lift the box out of the truck) pays the real shipping cost and ebay fees he should have enough money to go out for supper. I understand time and shipping materials cost money...

It is entertaining.

Yes, they are great supportive seats! Are in fact more "sporty" then the hadbacked seats.

What I don't like is this guy put them up for sale for $1500. Then got a bunch of offers. Realized he can get more, & wants to start an "auction" on them. Then after that just changes this price & adds $500+ ship to ship.

Very poor taste IMHO. Doesn't look like some one I would want to hang out with.
