There is actually a shot of the entry level place in the video. Seems like a regular size garage, not sure how deep or tall it would be.

I think the high RE prices are actually why it works so well: high income earners tend to live near major employment centers (big cities). For short commutes, they also want to live "close in." As a result, they tend to have minimal garage space or none at all if they're the jet-setting luxury condo type. A place like this, right outside of a big city, is brilliant. Doesn't look like anyone is set up (or allowed?) to stay overnight, which would make it even more appealing.

A "yacht club for cars" is a better analogy than a country club, but you get the idea.

+2. That would make this idea even more marketable, which kind of reminds me of Monticello Motor Club, 90 minutes north of NYC: http://monticellomotorclub.com/

I thought that there was also something similar in the South?

Funny, I was just reading an article in the local business mag about Garage-Mahals at Autobahn Country Club outside Chicago.

There are some VERY nice places out there. Heck, I would just like to be able to afford a membership. Maybe once the kids are through school, but even then, I wouldn't want to think about what a membership would cost me in tires, brakes, and gas.

Love it!

This concept is a good one. We're looking to move primarily for more space for the cars. Although I plan to build a stand alone 2+ car 'man cave'. I've been looking for a small solution like this but nothing around here.

Man Cave Video

We have one like this currently being promoted here in Vancouver, but we also have some of the most expensive real estate in North America...so it may be hard to price right. I am checking into it.

Cheers,

Mike

Mike, how about looking for some land out near the track in Mission, BC? The land might be more affordable than Vancouver but with close proximity to the city.

Or just do like some investors did in Pahrump Nevada, 45 minutes to Las Vegas. Build not only the garages/condos but go ahead and build your own race track:
