exhaust(ive) rec
My thought would be that many on this board would recommend Fister Stage II or III's over either--and at less $$$---and from good guys---and from Board Sponsor---knowledgeable 993 enthusiasts---and.........

I had a Fabspeed exhaust several years ago on my 94 964 C4; hated it. Loud all the time. I'm a big fan of the Stage II's; loud when you want them to be but quiet enough in cruising speeds so as not to be annoying on longer trips.

I have both the Fabspeed Maxflo (not very loud - sounds great) and the Fabspeed Supercups (very loud - sounds incredible). The Supercups are probably way too loud for a daily driver although you can learn to drive quietly with them...but why would you want to? The quality on both is first-rate.

I did a search on YouTube and listen to both Fister and FabSpeed exhausts. They both great but it seems Fister is better for daily use.
DC: when you said "very loud"... Do u means it's as loud as a racing exhaust? How's does it like between 1,000-3000 rpm? My 993 is a weekend car, I only drive it on the weekend. Would you still recommended it?

I have Fabspeed Maxflos and the quality seems good. It's not too loud. I pass the 90db limit on the track no problem which is more than i can say for some exhausts I've had on my other cars.
Edit: They do fit a little funny on my car though and I've heard of this problem with other maxflo owners as well. The tips are a little crooked. I'm the only one who notices though.

The Supercups are racing/Harley loud.....but I like that sometimes. There is a slight drone spot - I think around 2800RPM....(I have the Max-Flos on now) but you learn to avoid it while cruising around town...not a major issue for me. The sound of the car revving down is incredible and when you get on it you will wake the dead.

+1 We just got back from a 100 mi. round trip to a car show and the Fister Stage III's are a pure delight. Great sounds going through the gears but, at steady throttle, quiet enough to carry on a conversation or, if you prefer, listen to the sound system. When on the highway with the window down, you'll get more wind noise than exhaust note. So glad I pulled the trigger on this mod!

NC: my 993 is 95 cab. Its so hard to find a C2S in Hong Kong. Great that you hv both. Which one you like most? C2 or C2S? How you compare the 272 vs 285 engines as well as the gear box (TIP)? Any comments regarding FabSpeed and Fister since you have both on your cars?
