I know this is a long shot, but i would like to buy a re-geared G50-20 or G50-21 gearbox. I G50-31 is a plus. I had a chance last year to buy the last G50-31 for 10.5, but with the wife out of work, it was a no go.

I have contacted a few places and the cost is 6-8k for a re-gear. Yes, i searched the threads and this is the rub.

Well, if anyone knows of one to be had, it would be appreciated.

Sorry for the OT and newbie question but is changing transmissions (from US G50/20) the only way to get LSD on my car?

Certainly not.

There are several choices for aftermarket lsd, the top of the list is a Guard lsd, followed by Porsche Motorsports lsd. The g50/31 discussed here will have a PMS unit

Once you drive a g50/31 car that "want" will change to "need."
