200K - My New MileStone
Yep, joined the 200K Mile High Club today. And I like it. Looking forward to the next 100+ miles.

Yep, the car's street value is probably no more than a bucket of bolts. But my passion for the 993 is worth a million to me

Outstanding example that not every 993 needs new value guides, SAI ports cleaned.
After reading the past issue of Excellence, I was really concerned about 993 issues.
I guess the bottom line is that these cars need to be driven and not kept in the garage.

Very nice- here is to 100k more! I just turned 100k a few weeks back and my car is running perfect with no top end rebuild, oil leaks, etc. I attribute that to driving it and am glad to see that if I keep doing so, I may be able to double that mileage without any major motor work!

Excellent report ...thanks! And congrats!!
Mine is at a paltry 130+K miles and going strong. Actually feels just as tight and buttoned down as it did when I got it at 50K miles. What car does that? (other than another aircooled 911, that is ). I posted not too long ago about how amazing these cars really are. High performance sports cars without the fussiness or headache. When Porsche said in ad copy long ago track your car on the weekend and drive it to work on Monday, they sure weren't kidding.
And as for someone mentioning valve guides, mine also consumes nearly exactly the same approx 1qt/6K miles as it did when I first got it. Did I say amazing??
Enjoy your car at 200K. We are all fortunate folks here to own such gloious beasts!

Ken,
That's wonderful! Keep at it.
My '01 4Runner (purchased new with 2 miles on the clock), just turned 218,000. I fully intend to see 300,000 on it.
