Take a look at this thread... https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...-opinions.html
The example u posted looks good, however I'd be more inclined to buy from a rennlister.....

My 996 has been so trouble free and thus spending the maintenance budget towards mods and additional sets of wheels that any new car will be a new experience.
It looks everyone here is voting me towards getting this C2S...

That said, I don't know what kind of sports car owner/driver you are. Some really just love that burst of speed/power in a straight line and will always want the feeling of ultimate power. The kind of point and shoot car where you get the nose going straight and then hammer it. For those, the turbo might be the way to go. Alternatively, there are the types that would gladly take less hp for a more responsive NA engine. The powerband is more predictable and the power is there exactly when you need it without any turbo hesitation. For me, I am in the second category because I like to track my car quite a bit.
So, while people here might steer you in a particular direction you need to stay true to which kind of sports car guy you are because in the end you are the one getting behind the wheel. The C2S in this case seems to be a nice car and the price is excellent IMO...I think he could get more if he asked but then again, I have a 4S and want my value to be as high as possible!

more fun if you factor in the aural qualities of the NA engine.
I've only heard one street Turbo that gave me a stiffie,(Niche take a bow to your departed Ruf).

Agree 100% I know a couple guys with 993TT who have expressed their desire to have an NA car for the track.

I'd only add that depending on where you live might be a factor. 400-500 horsepower is great, but if you live in a congested city, where and how often can you really use it?
Remember, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow. For most a N/A 993 probably is more car than you are driver, anyway.

Looks like a deposit has been taken against the car. Thanks for all the encouragement in helping me make a decision. I guess I will have to wait for the next one. I am lucky that I will not be without a Pcar during this adventure.

All depends what you're looking for.
If you mostly want to track the car, maybe, maybe C2S is the way to go. I say maybe because even though TT has a bit of lag, once you know it and drive it accordingly, it won't be a problem and will be more hoot because it has more power. Only real negative for TT on track (and to some extent on street) is the extra weight of 4 wheel drive and just, well, 4 wheel drive. For some, even that is a good thing, but it ain't my thing.
But again, it's up to what you prefer.
If all you want to do is haul *** somewhere outside of track (which in US is not very easy, nor legal), TT would be better choice IMO.
Also a lot depends whether you want to keep it for a long time and hope to have a little bit of collectivity, TT would be my recommendation.
C2S is somewhat special 993 but not that much, TT is much more.
Don't worry about the maintenance or how fast/much fun you will have in this when compared to your 996, unless it's HIGHLY modified (since it ain't GT3), you will have more fun, especially on track with 993, regardless of whether it's C2S or TT. At least that's been my experience.
Good luck and welcome to the crowd!

(The 964 C4 I ran for three years was a bit different, like a decently set up 944 Turbo actually, but wasn't that big of a deal to tweak to "real" 911 characteristics.)
