This exact problem happened on the green car earlier today . . . we are about 250 miles away from home, as we are at the track (NOLA Motorsports Park). I think one of the guys with tow rigs and race cars might have some white lithium grease. I don't really want to take the panel apart, etc, in the paddock (in the heat), so I am hoping the spray works!

If you experience a slack door handle, the issue the the actuator rod being stuck at the top of its travel. Spraying any lubricant through the key-whole will not help since it is physically impossible for the lubricant to reach the channel that way. The only permanent solution is to take the lock mechanism out, dissasemble and square out the channel where it tapers in. Really easy; the only hard part is taking the handles off due to limited access
