They look terrible. But, since you're you and all, I'll trade you my stock calipers (which are painted red) for them. Straight up.

Just placed my order for the new 918 Spyder

Did you not read the warning: "(This is the part where the purists should look away.) "

G2 will mix any custom color you want.

They will look good with your racer's (painter's) tape!

Ha. Probably known to everyone else but me. (Amazing how much gap I have in my knowledge on the 993s when I've not had to fix anything on them.............)

So maybe it will be Arctic Silver.

Did you chemically strip, or bead blast?

Darin,
That looks really sharp!

Stencils or decals? What size (3", 3.25", 3.5")?

I hit them with a wire wheel and then sanded any rough spots. The paint goes on in multiple coats and gets pretty thick, so it covers very well.

Decals 3.5 x .25 (a little larger than stock, but the edges were very clean and sharp. They look nice.) I shot them with hi-temp clear after I applied them.

Very nice- love something different. I had my calipers pulled apart a few years ago, rebuilt and painted red. Now you're making me wish I shot them up GT3 RS orange.

Default This guy???

"So this guy contacts me and wants to trade a set of Big Reds straight up for my "little" reds. I have 2 sets of standard 993 calipers in my hands so I ponder this for about 10 whole seconds and say Hell Yes!"

That must have been some stand up guy...next thing you are going to add is that this guy threw in some funky resurfaced rear rotors for free, a set of front rotors @ wholesale as well as a free set of front track pads!

And I suppose this guy also did 1/2 the work, pulling off his Big Reds, on his back on the shop floor, and installing your "Little Reds"? In in the process, I'll bet this guy is a now lot more competent when it comes to installing calipers and rotors. He probably learned a few good tips from Darin in this caliper/rotor exchange process.

I'll bet this guy also made a 8 hour + round trip in the rain, and arrived at the shop right on time, as promised, 09:00 Hours.

Actually I know this guy very well and he is extremely pleased with the Little Reds. He has since taken his 993 to Sears Point and the Little Reds are brutally effective, Pagid Yellow on the front, Pagid Black on the rear. He is very thankful that Darin took him up on the offer. Darin is good people!

It's all about being in the right place at the right time and getting exactly what you want. Timing baby, timing!

Mexico blue is PERFECT with silver. I'd love to do this color on my car, but fear it won't well with aventurine green.

Great work Darin! Hope to see you and Mark soon - been too long.

Cheers,
Joe
