Default Temp Ghetto mods

OK, cars been in hibernation since early December. I pulled the front bumper cover off with the intention of having the local shop do a bumperette delete and respray. Surprise, the "To Do" list grew.

Now car is scheduled "kinda" tight to Hershey for bumperette/headlight washer delete and respray, replace stone guards, fix door check strap, as well as probably having the center caps reshot to match the wheels-oem caps with 996 TTS wheels.

Anyway, I got Euro clear corners, and a Gert FPB also. Did the fog light refresh, kinda underwhelming resluts, but... I couldn't wait any longer, so I pieced it back together.

Using a little (tongue in cheek) ingenuity..add some duct tape, and some cheap plastic automotive plugs from Lowe's...and Presto!

Please don't hate on me. I can live with it for a few weeks, besides...it's a pretty good representation of the final product. Love the plate in the lower grill too, cleans up the front so much. Also, gotta get a small piece of "something" to fill the slight gap visable between the fog and clear corner. Just an up close visual that needs a little something.

Oh, and I can drive the car now too!

Hopefully, and I do mean hopefully...the final will be completed by the Hershey weekend.

If the term "Ghetto" mods is NOT PC...

how about

Not bad, but you a lot of plugs going on in your front end!

On the gap between the fog & corner marker. You can fiddle with the corner marker, don't push it in all the way, if that doesn't help, get a thick spacer for the corner light screw, & put it behind between the bumper & light. It will close the gap.

I had the same problem on my C4, & I had some plastic license plate frame spacers that worked perfectly.

I did the bumperette delete last season and was also not happy with the gap between the lights. I'll try the spacer trick and see how it goes - thanks (it doesn't cause the side of the marker light to protrude out of it's inset in the bumper?)

No, it doesn't cause any part of it to stick out, or misfit. What it does is just push in the gap between the fog & side marker. It does take some trial & error fitting it all up.

Funny you say that, the TTS fogs do cover it up well. I do not have this problem with the C4S.

Now, that I'm "Bumperett free" it's amazing how much I've frown to hate them, & think they ruin the front end, almost as much as a license plate.
