Default Daddy bought baby some new shoes (BBS RE)

Picked these up off fellow RLer bobesser. I had been using my factory Cups as track wheels the last couple times, but always thought I would get some more suited for the purpose at some point. Bob made me a great deal on these, so that point was now.

I have always considered one piece forged wheels to be the best choice and had thought that I would probably end up with CCWs. The BBs are probably finished a little nicer and we know the reputation for quality they have. These have Yoko AO48s mounted up, so they are ready to go to the track. Even with the 285s in the rear, a quick measurement on my bathroom scales says I'll lose 16 lbs over the MY02s and Sumis.

Street:

Track:

3D centercaps are cool:

Forged is cooler :

Other miscellaneous:

I'm not sure I am absolutely in love with them over my MY02s, but they will certainly do to switch it up and carve some curves.

Oh, there is a 5mm spacer on the rear that won't be there for track days.

Thanks guys. They're both BBS, by the way.

I think the REs weigh around 20-21 lbs.

Bart - they look great! I've liked that style of bbs on theb993 since seeing another lister's slate gray car with them mounted.

Can't go wrong with BBS's!

Any thoughts on painting them another color?

Yup, but his are diamond black.

I might do another color at some point. Don't know what I would want, probably comething darker, though my car is too "classy" a color to pull off flat black or something. The REs silver is pretty different than stock, though you can't really tell in these pics.

I like that wheels of yours too, Paddy - weren't they for sale?

Thanks. Yep, I just sold the one set of Kinesis wheels. I'm looking for a set of BBS E88 wheels to replace them.
