The motorsports are sweet!

Do thet still have the relieved center spokes? Think they may have gone away from that, but I always loved that detail.

The new BBS FI centerlock also has the relieved center spokes:

According to Gert's site they still look like they have the relieved spokes. Not sure on color yet...

No bias, of course

Your color coordination still works better than mine, I think.

Thoughts on color? Due to UPS being totally incompetent and borderline criminal, and this wheel no longer being available from BBS, it looks like I am about to have 3 silvers and one diamond black. I think I may go bronze or something, just to be different.

BTW, did I mention I was pissed...

Sorry to hear that UPS spoiled your purchase. Were the wheels packed poorly, or was one lost?

Bronze on green = IMO. I tried a set of bronze Ray's on my 951 & it didn't look good.

911ist's color or 'stahlgrau' or a little lighter (like my Kinesis centers) would look great on your car. For something a little different, you could have just the center spoke painted & sand or strip the outer edges to a machined finish - then clear the entire wheel...

sorry to hear about your ups woes, you can check with the shipper if the package was insured and get ups to reimburse some of the cost.

if you want the racy look, i think a nice coat of matte black should do the trick

They ship from a UPS store, insure it and deny the claim. The seller reimbursed me more that I would have gotten from insurance (thanks Bob), but UPS sucks. What can brown do for you, indeed.

I think flat black wouldn't jive with Aventurine too well. I guess I'll try to create a darker silver or black chrome look. I already have 2 sets of wheels that are dark metallic gray, though.

Got my 4th wheel in diamond black. Looks pretty hot, I think I may try to respray the other 3 to match - wish me luck!

Also, I should go ahead and publicly thank Damon here. He went international trying to find my replacement wheel in the correct color and got my diamond black one for me.

Went to my body shop today. He eyeballed it and got close. He sprayed a card with a base coat of gloss black and then did a topcoat of clear and silver mix. I'm going to Dismount one of the three and take back to him. We may end up respraying all four, but should end up with something close to diamond black unless I get a better idea.
