Thanks guys I appreciate the warm welcome and really appreciate all the great info i've heard shared on this site it is in a word, invaluable. Someone asked which shop i use i use Heckman and Theimann a local independent which is a few blocks from my house which is why i choose them. They are good, they know the cars well only they are overpriced, i am now convinced and if anyone has any suggestions i'd be grateful.

Evansystems:

I have used Marque Motors before and been pleased. I've also used Stuttgart Autotech. Post more pics already!

Cheers,

Paul.

As far as other shop choices are concerned, call Steve @ Rennsport Systems in Portland. He can give you GOLDEN advice.

Hope this helps.

Marque, Stuttgart, and Rennsport are all options i am currently looking into. I believe steve at Rennsport to be the king of suspension for air cooled porsches, at least thats what i've heard here so i'll likely go with him even though his prices are a bit high. Not as high as Heckmann Theimann though, man, they quoted me $5000.00 for installing Bilstein HDs and thats NOT including springs, that caused me pause for sure. Anyways thanks fellas and yes more pics coming sooooooooon

As the seller of this 993 to the OP, I suggested he go with Bilstein HD's and ROW M033 springs. This was a recommendation of Darin at FD Motorsports to me, who sells the set for $1,650. Any comments on this setup (no track and to be used as a DD) and do the shops mentioned (Marque, Stuttgart and Rennsport) work with parts purchased elsewhere?

Also, I'm thinking a suspension install should be around $1,000; 4 hrs. labor, corner balance and alignment so not sure how Evan got the $5k figure!
