Default Transporter needed from Wa to NY

I need a reliable reasonable transporter if anyone can recommend one. I have had some bad experiences in the past so this time I thought I would ask you guys. Not sure yet about open or closed transport. I guess it depends on the cost. The car is not a garage queen and will be an every day driver.

thanks,

Jon

FedX has a service that I've used before with success. I always ship enclosed, especially that distance in the winter; one rock chip in the windshield is all it takes. Difference between open and enclosed is around $300-400.

I just used DeMoise...great job AND cheaper than everyone else. I think they are only enclosed. No affiliation...

Intercity Lines seems to be very popular among the Porschephiles

Search, but DeMoise, Intercity come up as the best pretty consistently. Don't do open trailer, and don't use someone that is a consolidator, aka DAS. Then you have multiple drivers changing it multiple times and it will get essentially abused, plus have untold extra thousands of miles on the trip. I've used Intercity, Demoise for 911s, and DAS for a Celica. I wouldn't have done DAS had I known how bad a shape it would be delivered in.

Hog Hauler out of Portland Oregon transported my car, enclosed and on schedule. Pretty reasonable as many transporters don't have regularly scheduled trips to the PNW.

+1 for DeMoise. I've used them three times myself--always top notch and cheaper than others. Plus they are good guys.

+2 for DeMoise. We've lost track how many times we've used them! Same quality service as Intercity for less $.

DeMoise has no trucks in the northwest. Intercity is very $$$$$. Hog Hauler phone is disconnected. Any other choices?
